Test Preparation

While there are ample options in our area for students to practice for standardized exams, few provide the consistent, targeted support to weed out habitual errors and to produce solid essays on the ACT, SAT, and AP exams.

The new SAT and the redesigned ACT essay both require greater higher-order thinking skills and analysis, and students may find they need more rigorous tutoring to achieve significant gains.

Having been a reader for the AP English Composition exam for over five years, I have an in-depth understanding of how these essays are scored and how they should be written. I am also able to review grammar rules and critical reading strategies for students to strengthen these areas in the context of standardized exams.
